New Course in Winter 2026
FAMED 520 Fundamentals of Behavioral Health in Primary Care, is a 1-2 credits elective asynchronous online course, open to all Ambassadors and health professional students.
The course provides an introduction to integrated behavioral health, exploring concepts of health equity, trauma informed care, and patient engagement, with a focus on clinical interventions. The course incorporates the latest content from UW Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. FAMED 520 will be taught by Dr. Hoa Appel. Questions? Email happel@uw.edu.

LETI Spring 2026 Interprofessional Project
We’re preparing for 2026 Spring quarter’s Latino Educational Training Institute (LETI) project. You’ll have an opportunity to share your knowledge with the Latino community in Snohomish County. Health topics such as hypertension, oral health, diabetes, and mental health were presented this past spring.
All Ambassadors are eligible to participate, and this will count towards your presentation requirement.

Tabetha Clark, E24 HCOP Ambassador, presents at NWRHC


Tabetha Clark, E24 HCOP Ambassador and 3rd year dental student, presented her research at the Northwest Rural Health Conference (NWRHC) in Spokane this spring. Her research examined reproductive experiences and barriers women encountered as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the poster presentation, Tabetha received full travel and accommodation scholarship to attend the NWRHC.
